The main problems were the bathrooms - the showers were so small if you turned around you turned the water off! I would not go there again!

First impressions of the hotel were good and the staff on the desk were very helpful and friendly. I had pre-ordered champagne to be in the room on arrival and was offered three choices. I chose one and confirmed by email, but this was not available on arrival and so an alternative was offered. The room was well presented, although the shower was a tight squeeze. The maid service was excellent. My concern was the breakfast which for us is very important. Both the scrambled egg and bacon were undercooked for our taste and were cold. This stopped us from eating dinner at the hotel as we were not confident about the quality of food at night time. There was other choices of food types, but none were inkeeping with the other standards at the hotel. When recommending the hotel we would warn others about the breakfast.

Top Tip

If you plan to visit Fox Town Designer Outlet in Switzerland, we recommend you make your own arrangements. You can book a half day shopping trip by coach at 15euro each, but you get under 4 hours to shop and this is not enough for the 170 shops. Get a train from the Central station (5mins from hotel) to the border, then a local bus or train to Fox Town Outlet Store. The train leaves Milan Central about 9am (check times) and you arrive at the Outlet about 11am just in time for it to open. This will give you 8 full hours. The trip is a very pleasant one.

Lovely hotel for the money. Right in the city centre near shops and bars that won't break the bank! The barman, Max, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We'd definately go back here.

Top Tip

Get a good map!!! The one we had didn't have all the street names on it so we had difficulty finding the hotel. Most people speak English and were helpful in finding our way.

The hotel is in a great location. There is a metro stop right outside the door which means easy access to all of Milan's main sights. Lovely clean, comfortable rooms, nice modern decor. Helpful staff that spoke very good english and were more than happy to help with directions etc. Sunterrace on the roof, where you can sunbathe.

Top Tip

Get on the underground or get a taxi to the canals at night time, beautiful at sunset! Lake como only about an hour away! Climb to top of Duomo, lovely view!

Shocking breakfast!!! Whilst I appreciate it was the weekend of the grand prix I would normally have expected much more of a four star hotel of this price. The girl in charge of the booking however was excellent and can only assume she didn't have first hand experience of the hotel.

Go a different weekend and stay somewhere better.
